Local 2100

As President of Local 2100, I am proud and honoured by the opportunity to lead our membership.  Our great leadership team has extensive experience and knowledge and is committed to proudly serving and advancing the rights of our members.

Our members have the protection of a larger, more powerful union with greater resources, stability and support to take on employers at the negotiating table and to advocate on behalf of our members on issues of importance to them.

Our members are our number one priority and we will work hard to protect and advance your rights at work and beyond.  You can count on us to be in your corner, advocating for you every day.  We will be a force for fairness and justice in your workplaces.  But remember, YOU are the Union!  The Union is member-led and member-run.  Strong member participation is the key to a strong union local, so I encourage you to get involved.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact your union representatives.  We are here to help.

In Solidarity,

Melody

The goal of the ERFP Executive is provide quality advocacy for our membership. This website is one tool for achieving that goal. Within the website, there are many pieces of information that support members in their day to day roles. Communication is key and this website has up to date information regarding the ERFP and education news related to our work.

Another valuable resource for members are Stewards. We presently have 60 locations with Stewards who can provide information and support at the school level. I encourage everyone to participate on Committees and come to General Meetings; these initiatives allow members to learn about the various ways in which ERFP members impact student learning and success every day.

The work undertaken each day by members is critical to students: their learning environments are enhanced by members and the ability to access those environments is dependent on member’s professional knowledge being applied. Members enhance communities by working alongside other educators to make schools and other locations welcoming to students and their families.

As educators, we impact school communities at a variety of points.

Thank you for your work each day in Peel.
