In the Event of a Strike

To ensure you receive strike pay in the event of a strike, you need to ensure your member profile is up to date, most importantly your direct deposit and dependent information. Strike pay is paid via direct deposit only.

How to login to OPSEU Central?

Forgot your username or password?

Click on forgot username or password Forgot Username/Password

Who is a dependent?

  • A non-income-earning spouse (excluding spouse on strike)
  • A child under 18 (or under 26 if attending school full time; or a dependent child as defined by the collective agreement or the benefit plan.
  •  A disabled family member
  • An elderly family member who normally receives financial support from the strike member. If both spouses are on strike, both may claim the dependents.

How do I access direct deposit?

To access direct deposit information, once signed in – look to your right and you will see “Quick Links”. Scroll down to “Direct Deposit Agreements”.

Who do I contact if I need a replacement card?

If you do not have a membership union card and/or need a replacement, please email Laurie Hills at lhills@opseu.org to have one mailed to the address in your OPSEU Central member portal. Please ensure your address is correct prior to requesting a replacement card.
