I want to begin by thanking my nominator for this opportunity to run for Secretary-Treasurer. I believe I can be a valuable addition to the Local Executive, supporting our members through transparency, responsibility, and active engagement.
Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of representing our Local at Regional Meetings and as a delegate to Convention. These experiences have helped me grow as an advocate — learning how policy resolutions and constitutional amendments work, and gaining insight from other Locals on supporting members.
I’ve proudly served on the By-Law Committee, Local Bargaining Team, and the Member Advocacy & Engagement Committee. I’ve also completed OPSEU educationals, including Train the Trainer, to help me support member learning as a co-facilitator in future sessions.
As Secretary-Treasurer, I understand the importance of accurate record-keeping, transparent financial reporting, and responsible stewardship of our dues. I’ll work to ensure our financial practices align with OPSEU/SEFPO policy, and I’ll keep members informed and confident in how our resources are managed.
if elected, I will continue advocating for clarity, access, and accountability. I’ll support members in getting the information they need, and I’ll be a voice that listens and acts — so together, we can continue building a stronger Local.
