February 13 & 14 from 5-9 via Zoom

The role of the Steward is an important one. Stewards are the main connector between the Executive and the members at large. They are the face and the voice of the union in the workplace.

The responsibilities of this leadership role are as follows:

• liaise with the Executive

• attend monthly General and Steward meetings

• attend mandatory training and gain a working knowledge of the Collective Agreement, PDSB Policies and Procedures

• encourage members to join committees, and attend general membership meetings

• work together with school administration to solve member issues

• resource and support members at your location

• welcome new members to your school
