SUMMARY:The OPSEU/SEFPO 2026 Regional Meeting will be held in  Niagara Falls on Saturday\, March 21\, 2026\, at 9:00am.
DESCRIPTION:Regional meetings are required to conduct region business and elect nominees for Executive Board positions and Provincial Committees. Each Regional Meeting is to be attended by Delegates from the Locals within the Region. \nThe membership will be electing 8 Delegates and up to 9 Alternates to attend. NEW: This year\, OPSEU 2100 will be covering the expenses to send 2 Alternates to attend in person\, and 2 Alternates to attend virtually. The 4 highest ranked Alternates will be provided more details after the election. Please note – Elected Delegates/Alternates are expected to stay for the duration and will NOT be paid to attend outside of working hours. \nThe only business at the Regional Meeting will be the election of: \n\nThree Executive Board Members (one to be elected as Regional Vice-President\, one to be elected as alternate Regional Vice-President).\nOne alternate Executive Board Member to be elected.\nOne member and one alternate to serve on each of the Resolutions\, Constitutional\, and Credentials Committees of the Convention.\nProvincial Women’s Committee: ➔ 1 member and 1 alternate\nProvincial Human Rights Committee: ➔ 1 member and 1 alternate\nProvincial Young Workers Committee: ➔ 1 member and 1 alternate\nProvincial Francophone Committee: ➔ 1 member and 1 alternate\nRegional Hardship Fund Committee: ➔ 4 members and up to 4 alternates\n\nIf you would like to self-nominate\, or would like to nominate another member\, email a completed and signed nomination form to  president@opseu2100.ca. All nominations must be submitted prior to the close of the GMM on February 3rd.  If we do not meet quorum at the GMM no nominations can be received from the floor\, therefore\, nominations must be submitted no later than 6:00pm on February 3rd\, 2026.  Nomination forms were emailed to the membership on January 19th\, 2026.  If you did not receive the email\, please contact Paulina via email secretary-treasurer@opseu2100.ca \nCandidates are welcome to submit a speech in PDF format and a photo for our website. Speeches and photos can be emailed to president@opseu2100.ca. \nElections will take place via Simply Voting and conducted by plurality (ranked from highest to lowest) on the following days. \nElections for Delegates will take place on\nFebruary 4th from 6:00am to 6:00pm. \nElection for Alternates will take place on\nFebruary 5th from 6:00am to 6:00pm. \nBallots will be emailed to your personal email address on file. If you do not receive a ballot\, or need assistance signing into the member portal or our website\, please email secretary-treasurer@opseu2100.ca
